Mexico in the sight of Chinese tourism

Mexico. According to the Secretariat of Tourism (Sectur), directors of China International Travel Service Limited, the most influential tourism company of this Asian country, made a visit to Mexico in order to know in detail the physical and natural attractions offered by Mexico and the so-called Mexico’s Routes and thus develop tour packages for the Chinese market.

The federal agency announced in a press release that Chinese executives will remain in the country for nine days and will tour various states of Mexico.

Among the routes that the Chinese representatives will visit are: 'A Colonial Experience' and 'The mystery and origin of the Maya', which will be introduced to various archaeological sites and colonial cities.

According to figures from the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), in 2009 the number of Chinese who made pleasure trips to foreign countries reached 47.5 million people, representing an increase of 3.6% over 2008.
