German Company Siemens Invests $50 Million Dollars in Mexico

Siemens invests US50 million in Querétaro

El Marques, Qro. The German company Siemens will invest $ 50 million in facilities and construction of research and development centers for high voltage equipment at this location.

The firm operates 12 manufacturing and service facilities in Mexico, which makes everything from high-voltage substations and electric motors, to lamps, auto headlights and engine and gas turbines, among other products.

"Siemens is well prepared to meet the demand for efficient high-voltage equipment in Mexico. At the same time, this plant (El Marqués) will serve as a platform for exports to Central America and the United States, "said Wolfgang Dehen, CEO of Siemens Energy.

The investment in a context in which the federal government seeks to attract European companies to Mexico to reduce costs by locating in the dollar and have a cheaper production platform.
