Grupo Empresarial Angeles (GEA), through a subsidiary, Grupo Camino Real, the hotel chain acquired Quinta Real Grand Class, making it among the largest hotel companies in Mexico was consolidated in the five-star segment and gran turismo.

The general director of Grupo Empresarial Angeles (GEA), Olegario Vazquez Aldir reported that with this operation, the group will offer 37 choices of tourist developments in Mexico and the United States.

Quinta Real chain has hotels in Acapulco, Aguascalientes, Guadalajara, Huatulco, Monterrey, Saltillo, Villahermosa and Zacatecas.

GEA President, Olegario Vazquez Rana, specified that the two brands, Camino Real, Quinta Real, will remain as independent companies, will have its own style and will focus each to a different segment.

Camino Real Group completed the purchase, but an issue of confidentiality did not reveal the figure. However, the operation did not require approval of the Cofeco, if not exceeded the limits set by the Federal Competition Act.

Camino Real Group has 37 hotels, 17 are unique, two leased, 10 and 8 operated Quinta Real, ranking among the nation's largest chains.

The total number of rooms, before the purchase amounted to 5.782 units and the acquisition of the shares of the Quinta Real chain added 695 additional suites. That is, Grupo Empresarial Angeles have to offer customers a 6.477 rooms.
