Japan will promote Mexico as a tourist destination

Mexico. Currently, the Japanese market represents more than 65% of Asian visitors who travel the tourist destinations of Mexico.

To increase the presence of Mexico's Tourism Secretariat (Sectur) invited senior members of the Travel Agents Association of Japan (JATA), the largest in the country, to work in the promotion, creation and sale of tourist packages to trigger the flow of visitors from that country to Mexico.

From January to September of 2010 was an increase of 26.8% of Japanese visitors over the same period in 2009.

Jata is committed to spreading the tourist packages that integrate the cities that comprise the strategy Mexico routes, cultural tourism, archaeological sites, World Heritage Cities and Towns Magic, being of great attraction for visitors to that nation.

About the relationship, the president of the Mexican Association of Travel Agents (AMAV), Jorge Hernandez, acknowledged that Japanese tourists are a huge market that will increase economic benefit.

Asia is an important market, the fastest growing in the world in economic matters, where the Japanese travelers looking for quality excellence in service and hospitality, will surely find in Mexico, Hernandez concluded.
