Grupo Mexico will invest 2.307 million dollars in the year

Miner Grupo Mexico will invest a total of 2.307 million dollars this year (including its transport division), which will mean an annual increase of almost 282%.



The forecast is also due to the expectation that they will maintain the upward trend in metals, particularly copper, which provides 74% of the proceeds from its mining division.



Of the total investment to exercise this year, almost 83% will go to mining, of which 881 million dollars will focus on Mexico, 862 million dollars to Peru and 164 million dollars for Asarco, the U.S., while the remaining 17% or 400 million dollars will go to transportation business.



For this year are expected to total revenue and operating cash flow (EBITDA by its acronym in English) reach 10.000 million dollars and 5.000 m respectively, which will mean increases of approximately 24% in both cases registered against him in 2010.



In the fourth quarter of 2010 Grupo Mexico reported strong results supported by the strong rise in metal prices and higher sales volumes. Its total income rose 51.5% and 70.4% EBITDA.



Grupo Mexico shares in three sectors: mining, construction and transport. In the mining business, is a leading copper producers in the world. Consolidated sales of 2010 was 8.083 million dollars, representing an increase of almost 70%.
