Housing in the sights of foreign investors

It is estimated that in general, during the first half of 2010, Mexico received 12.239 million dollars by way of foreign direct investment, being the most active United States, Spain and Holland, plus more than 80% of capital was sought by new investments, while the remaining resources were invested intercompany accounts and reinvested earnings.



In this regard, Mexico has undertaken various mechanisms in order to attract foreign investment to the housing sector, being one of them Mexican Housing Day, an annual event held in the cities of New York and London, which aims to provide business opportunities this industry, as well as to inform international strategies, plans, actions, challenges and strengths of the sector.
