Be clean, 100% of its consumption in the country

The online Financial

Mexico, Dec. 3 .- Grupo Bimbo buy power from a Spanish developer to build a wind farm in Oaxaca, mining companies are planning similar projects and the Commission Federal de Electricidad (CFE) will install two wind corridors in the same state, thereby Mexico will continue to progress in meeting the goal to generate two thousand 500 megawatts (MW) of wind energy in 2012.
Energy Secretary Georgina Kessel Martinez, ensured that the current administration is closer to the goal of producing two thousand 500 Mw wind at the end of six years and that 26 percent of the installed capacity of energy comes from clean energy (solar, geothermal , wind, nuclear, biomass and large hydro).
Under the notice on the commencement of construction of the wind farm Piedra Larga, which will supply 100 percent of the energy requirements of Grupo Bimbo in the country for 18 years since the end of 2011, the official said in Mexico occurs quiet revolution, as "great things are happening" around the main energy input is the wind.
He stressed that according to the World Wind Energy Association, Mexico farm sector grew the fastest in the world last year and recalled that ten years ago almost no wind energy produced at present installed capacity exceeds 500 Mw.
He said projects in the portfolio of mining companies to reduce their consumption of electricity, two projects approved for CFE of 300 MW each, and other plans, "we can approach the six-year end target."
Daniel Servitje, CEO of Grupo Bimbo, said Long Stone, the largest wind farm in the food industry, will supply the power consumption of half of its operations worldwide and total in Mexico.
The installed power plant is 90 MW at an early stage, with a maximum of 227 Mw. The park, which will be installed in Oaxaca, will supply the power consumption of 65 facilities in Mexico (production plants and other centers of operation) Bimbo, Grupo Calidra, Papalote Museo del Niño and Frialsa Refrigerators.
Investment
The park will be developed by the Mexican Wind Development Company, Energy Renovalia Spanish group, which managed a syndicated loan to Nacional Financiera structured with a group of banks, for $ 160 million 16. The total investment is 200 million dollars. Renovalia Energy will invest 200 million dollars in the project.
The main employer of the baking company in Mexico and Latin America noted that the contract to purchase wind power for 18 years, reflects the group's commitment to reduce the environmental footprint, noting that the project will avoid the use of 600 000 barrels of oil a year used for the generation of electricity, equivalent to stop release to the environment 250 thousand tons of carbon dioxide a year.
The director of Nacional Financiera, Hector Rangel Domene said that the signing of the syndicated loan for the development of wind project, the development bank fulfills its mission to contribute to energy efficiency, noting that to date has funded two projects farms in Mexico. Mexican Company Mase Plans to Create a Wind Energy Park in Mexico

Mase plans to create a wind energy park in SLP
Business - Friday, December 3, 2010 (10:37 hrs)

Serious in the municipalities of Villa de Reyes Fourteen and

The online Financial

Mexico, Dec. 3 .- Mase Energy, construction of wind power generators from wind, looks to build one of these complexes in the highlands of San Luis, particularly in the municipalities of Villa de Reyes and Fourteen.

The park would operate by 2013, in an area of 90 acres owned by Mase Energy and generate 30 megawatts through 12 turbines, explained Sergio Martinez, general director of the company 100 percent Mexican.

The executive said the project will cost in the first stage 50 million and 50 million in a second phase, which would double the electricity generation capacity.

These resources would come in 50 percent of private and other funds of the European Union (EU), previously labeled for this purpose, so that the project has a "complete certainty."

"In fact, we are talking about could be up to $ 150 million. 50 million for the first 30 megawatts, 50 million more for another 30 megawatts and 150 million to reach more than a hundred megawatts," he said.

Energy Mase's interest to be established in San Luis Potosi is because this entity, along with Zacatecas, forms the third region with the highest national potential for wind power generation.

"The state has great potential. The Altiplano is a very apt for generation. Our satellite studies indicate that this region can generate up to 500 megawatts from wind, another 700 megawatts in Tamaulipas and two thousand more in Oaxaca."

Sergio Martinez said his company's work takes place with the state government to finalize the project go very "advanced", so it is possible that starting in January 2011 the first studies on the ground to determine the precise location where to install the park .

He also said that the energy produced in the complex would be used to meet all energy demand from the government of San Luis and the rest is sold to the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE), to bid for private consumers.

"We support the government, but nothing ventured, we want to support us anyway to give power to private companies."

The manager said the reason why the park would begin operations until 2013 is due to the length of study, to avoid running the risk of miscarry.

"We are talking about are studies that take one to one and a half. First you have to confirm on-site wind power, conduct studies of where and what guidance should be installed turbines and all that takes time.

"It will undermine the project, because in this case external financing is totally private, and we want to generate savings to the government and if it pulls back, We're taking out to provide energy to private companies." (With information from Nicholas Lucas / AYV)
